Otto Oppermann
out of
Braunschweig
*09.06.1896
24.06.1973
His dog tag was found in 2007 during construction work in a barn in
Nanteuil-sur-Aisne ↗️(Northern France).
At the same time, the identification tag of
Alois Höhn found
The dog tags were presented to the mayor of
Les Grandes Armoises
↗️,
Gérard Faillon, given.
I photographed the dog tags there.
Because both Otto Oppermann's and Alois Höhn's dog tags were duplicates, we suspect that the two left their dog tags there when they were on their way back to Germany together after the war ended.
The family has been found.
